C3) 29/1/10: Changes in Cabinet

Members of the Press and Public are hereby informed that of the following announcement by the Permanent Secretary to the President and Secretary to Cabinet, Mr. Eric Molale:

His Excellency the President, Lieutenant General Seretse Khama Ian Khama, and the Minister of Trade and Industry, the Honourable Baledzi Gaolathe, have agreed that the latter be relieved of his Ministerial duties on account of his ill health. Consequently, his Excellency has decided to reshuffle the Cabinet as follows:

The Honourable Dorcus Mkgato-Malesu has been appointed as the new Minister for Trade and Industry. The Honourable Maxwell Motowane has been appointed as the Assistant Minister for Trade and Industry.

The Honourable Gaotlhaetse Matlhabaphiri has been appointed as the Assistant Minister of Health.

The above appointments will be effective on 1st February, 2010.
