Zambian President Rupiah Bwezani Banda to Visit Botswana on a Two Day Official Visit

C1) 6/8/10: Zambian President Rupiah Bwezani Banda to Visit Botswana on a Two Day Official Visit

His Excellency the President, Rupiah Bwezani Banda of Zambia, accompanied by the First Lady, Mrs Thandiwe Banda, will pay an official visit to Botswana from 09 - 10 August 2010 at the invitation of His Excellency President Lieutenant-General Seretse Khama Ian Khama. President Banda will officially open the Serowe Institute of Health Sciences on 10 August 2010.

He will also be accompanied by the Honourable Kapembwa Simbao, Minister of Health of the Republic of Zambia and other senior Government officials.

President Banda’s visit comes shortly after the recent visit to Zambia (from 3 - 4 July 2010) by His Excellency President Khama, where he was a guest of honour at the 46th Edition of the Zambia International Trade Fair. These high-level exchange visits are a clear demonstration of genuine partnership and fruitful cooperation between the two countries.

HE President Banda will return to Zambia on Tuesday.
